01

Built for the size it will run at

A picture that holds on a phone can fall apart on a six sheet, a bus side or a Digi panel. We retouch to the size and the viewing distance, so skin, fabric, metal and type hold up large and read instantly small.

02

Beauty and fashion

Skin that still looks like skin, fabric that falls properly, hair that is tidy without looking pasted on. We retouch for the brief, from natural editorial finish through to polished campaign beauty, and keep every frame in a collection consistent.

03

Composites and campaign artwork

Many campaigns are built from several shoots: a person from one frame, a place from another, a product from a third. We build the composite so light, perspective, shadow and colour agree, and the join cannot be found. The Paddy Power Cheltenham poster is an example of the finishing we do on large campaign artwork.

04

Product and jewellery

Metal, glass and stone are unforgiving. We clean, shape and light products so surfaces look clean and sharp, which is how jewellery, drinks and packaging need to look in print.

05

Colour and grading

A campaign has one colour story across every format. We grade and match so the same image looks right in print, outdoors and on screen.

06

Retouching for photographers and studios

You shot it, we finish it. Send us your selects and a note of the look you want, and we return files that match the rest of your portfolio. Many photographers and studios use us to take the finishing off their desk and keep a consistent standard.

07

Working with agencies

We work to your layouts, your specifications and your deadlines, and supply files in the formats each media owner asks for. If you shot it with another photographer, send us the files and we will retouch from there.

08

Questions

Do you retouch photographs you did not shoot?

Yes. Many agencies and photographers send us finished shoots. Send the files and the brief and we will retouch to it.

Can you build a composite from several images?

Yes. We match light, perspective, shadow and colour so the finished image reads as a single photograph.

What files do you supply?

Whatever your media owner or printer needs: layered files, flattened high resolution masters, and versions sized for each format.

Can you retouch for billboards and large format?

Yes. Large format needs extra care with detail, edges and noise, and we finish to the size and viewing distance the artwork will run at.

How fast can you turn work around?

It depends on the number of images and the complexity. Tell us the deadline when you ask and we will say straight away whether we can meet it.

Do you only work with big brands?

No. We work with brands, agencies, magazines and independent businesses. The standard of finish is the same.

How do you price retouching?

By the image and the level of work involved, with a clear quote agreed before we begin. Larger collections can be priced as a batch.

Tell us what you need.

A short note about the job and when you need it. We reply with questions and a clear quote.
